Khalladi Wind IPP

OVERVIEW

The Khalladi 120 MW Wind Farm is a Greenfield Independent Power Project IPP that has been developed by UPC Renewables. ACWA Power acquired a controlling stake in the Project Company in October 2014.

The Project is developed under the framework of the ‘Renewable Energy Law’ that allows private IPPs to develop, build and operate renewable energy plants and sell the energy to direct customers with access to the national transmission grid operated by ONEE.

The Project has up to date 2 PPAs signed with industrial companies (cement) and additional PPAs are being secured to offtake the expected 390 GWh yearly energy production.
