His Highness, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance visited the ACWA Power stand today at the 19th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2017). Mohammed Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, also welcomed His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and highlighted the latest technologies deployed by ACWA Power in renewable energy projects in the UAE, Middle East and South Africa.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid viewed ACWA Power’s latest projects while at the stand, including the 200 MW second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, inaugurated earlier this year, which powers more than 50,000 homes in Dubai. During the visit, CSP technology to be used for the 700MW fourth phase Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park was also showcased.
WETEX takes place from 23rd- 25Th October 2017 at Dubai World Trade Centre. ACWA Power is located in Zaabel 1.
