Morocco Minister of Energy and Sustainable Development visits NOORo Solar complex

The Moroccan Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development Minister, Mr. Aziz Rebbah, spoke to delegates from the Arab Energy club at the NOORo Solar complex in Ouarzazate today. 

 

The delegation was invited by the developer and operator of the Complex, ACWA Power, to study Concentrated Solar Power with molten salt storage technology which is able to dispatch solar energy not only during the day but also at night, and to examine the success factors that have enabled the Kingdom of Morocco to become a recognized world leader in caring for the planet with visionary targets for renewable energy deployment. 

ACWA Power is privileged to be an active participant in the Moroccan electricity generation sector winning several major renewable energy projects including three large CSP projects at the NOOR Ouarzazate Solar Complex with a combined capacity of more than 510 MW, as well as Noor PV 1 program with a capacity of 177 MW and a 120 MW wind farm in Tangiers.
