Shuaibah Expansion IWP

OVERVIEW

The Shuaibah Expansion Project was delivered in response to the Saudi Government’s need for a fast-track solution. The challenge was to provide an additional 150 m3/day of desalinated water to meet the accelerating demand in Jeddah. The project is located on reclaimed land adjacent to the Shuaibah IWPP and both plants use a common water discharge channel. The facility uses reverse osmosis technology with 2 passes (seawater and brine) and energy recovery equipment and systems.
